Words can’t describe how happy I am that spring is finally here! Well, I guess it officially starts tomorrow, but I’m ecstatic about the weather anyway. I’m the type of girl that gets really cold really fast, so I’m not into winter weather except for the fact that we can play with layering clothes and what not.
This top really reminds me of cherry blossoms because of its color and flowery detail in the front, so I had to get it. And in my town, the cherry blossoms are finally blooming and the parks are just the most beautiful I’ve seen them in the past year. Hopefully I’ll be able to take some photos for you all later before they go away!

Recently I’ve been loving the contrast between black and white. Used to I was never really that fond of wearing these two colors together, but these days I can’t get enough of them. Which is also why I decided to convert these photos to black and white rather than have them in color.
This blouse is one of my favorite striped tops and the lightness of the fabric makes it perfect for the warm weather. I’ve also caught myself wearing more ruffles these days. Not that it’s a bad thing, because what girl can resist a little frill or two in her outfit?

As the winter slowly fades in the spring, it’s typical that I’m ready to change out my wardrobe and switch to new styles and colors. Looking back, I realize that pastel colors really weren’t an integral part of my wardrobe for so long, and I tend to either go with dark winter hues or bright summer colors.
I was in love with this top when I saw it at Francesca’s, but I hesitated at first since I’m not accustomed to such light colors. But the next week I rushed back to the store and frantically looked around almost to be disheartened by the idea that it might have sold out. Thankfully, I found it and now able to include it in part of my new collection of pastel colors.

I’ve always been keen on things navy colored. From clothes and shoes to nautical interior designed rooms with their splashes of navy, there’s something about the color that allures me and I don’t think I can ever get enough.
This skirt is one of my favorites because of its shape and the cute crown buttons that add a little touch of royalty to the look. And I couldn’t resist matching it with navy colored tights and a light cardigan to keep me warm from the winter breeze.
